Rainier Trio Saturday, April 8, 2017 7:30 PM Historic Cokesbury Church

The Rainier Trio is an exciting, energetic group that captivates audiences. With gems from the violin-viola-piano repertoire, it’s an instrumental combination written for since the 17th century. The trio performs works by Mozart, Mendelssohn and Milhaud and  bridges genres from classical to ragtime and tango.

For over 30 years, jazz singer Stephanie Nakasian and jazz pianist Hod O’Brien have set the standard in jazz across the world.  They have headlined in the Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, the Moscow International Performing Arts Center and in festivals in  Japan, Europe and the U.S.

An annual favorite, the Virginia Symphony performs a vast repertoire of classics, pops and music from the stage and screen. Conducted

by Benjamin Rous, the versatility of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra performances of the greatest compositions of the masters and

contemporary American composers consistently delights the audience.
